Trebeurden, Newton Ferrers & Noss Mayo Twinning Association (“TNNT”)

Trebeurden is a small coastal town not far to the East of Roscoff in North Brittany. In 1991 the Yealm Yacht Club organised the first “Summertime Race” to Trebeurden and the race has continued as an annual fixture. The Twinning developed from friendships formed as a result of that event but has since moved on to include many non-sailors.

TNNT runs social fundraisers from time to time but the core of its activities is an alternating annual twinning visit to and from Trebeurden.

Language is not a bar to twinning. Most of our French guests speak enough English to get by.

The essence of twinning is to make new friends and enjoy ourselves.

Annual membership is £5 a head. If you are interested in joining or would like more information, please contact Andrew Matthews (01752 872942  or matthews.a3cs@btinternet.com).

TNNT was formed in 2010 with the support of Newton and Noss Parish Council and the Commune of Trebeurden to promote twinning and other links between the two communities.

Yealmpton in Devon

is twinned with

Milizac in Brittany

The two villages have been twinned since 1988.

Every year there is a weekend visit.

Either twinners from Yealmpton visit Milizac and stay with members of the Milizac twinning association, or twinners from Yealmpton welcome guests from Milizac.

Milizac is a former commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in northwestern France. In January 2017, it was merged into the new commune Milizac-Guipronvel. Milizac lies along the D38 road about 11.6 kilometres northwest of Brest.
